Responsibilities of FNB Sales Consultant:

  • As an FNB Sales Consultant, your primary responsibility is to achieve business targets. You’ll need to understand, interpret, and anticipate market trends and client needs to design and deliver innovative, custom solutions that add value to your client portfolio.
  • You’re expected to deliver exceptional service that goes beyond clients’ expectations through proactive, innovative, and suitable solutions. You’ll also need to maximize cross-selling opportunities within your Business Portfolio to strengthen client relationships.
  • Maintaining expert knowledge on specific products, pricing, application procedures, processing, and timelines is crucial to drive and achieve relevant sales targets. You’ll need to understand and comply with governance in terms of legislation and audit requirements.
  • You’ll be responsible for retrieving all qualified leads from the internal channel sales pipeline and making contact with existing or new customers to generate a sale. If required, you’ll source new leads through external contacts and other channels to increase the customer base.
  • Your role involves contacting prospective clients and selling appropriate banking products to achieve sales targets. You’ll deliver the end-to-end client management process through continuous engagement with the client on process milestones, selling the value proposition, facilitating the application process on behalf of the client, preparing the proposal to credit, managing internal dependencies, closing the deal, and managing post-sales queries when relevant.
  • You’ll need to analyze competitor information gathered and ensure active monitoring of market trends and influences. Identifying new business opportunities that impact the industry is part of your role.
  • You’ll track, control, and influence sales activities with the specific aim to achieve previously determined sales targets in line with quality, productivity, and sales requirements. Lastly, managing your own development to increase your competencies is a key part of your role as an FNB Sales Consultant.
